To all who registered for and attempted to sign on to yesterday’s presentation on Effective Marketing for Sales & Profits, I apologize for the circumstances that led to your not being able to access the platform. You are all people who blocked the time to invest in yourselves to become more for your customers and clients.
Most people have heard and know Murphy’s Law as, "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong." The law attributed to aerospace engineer Edward A. Murphy, Jr was very much in play yesterday, and it wasn’t pretty. Those who registered and attempted to sign in to my free online workshop, Effective Marketing for Sales & Profits, the workshops sponsor, Lenoir Community College Small Business Center director Greg Hannibal, and I were victims yesterday when the go-through site to register onto the event was down most of the day. This presented Greg Hannibal and me with several options for the 25+ who registered for the event and unable to access the event through the downed pass-through website. Keeping Murphy's original quote, "If there are two or more ways to do something and one of those results in a catastrophe, then someone will do it that way," in mind, we take it as precautionary design advice that we may be acle to do a fix. Greg and I have taken the following precautionary steps to eliminate something out of our control from having a devastating effect. -> Greg communicated to each registrant with an apology from both of us. -> This post serves as an apology to those who registered f my postings of the event. -> We are offering a makeup event on 12 June 2024 at 10:00 AM for those who were kept out and others for whom the date was not right. -> We have changed the process by which participants can access the event platform. Leaders recognize that negative things don’t happen to them but happen for them to inspire different thinking about different actions, providing different results. It is said that “Insanity is the doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” When something negative happens to you, stop doing that and find a new way. Do that and you will keep being awesome.
